Hi, I am Mary Fitzgerald and I want to share my personal story with you about my illness and the role Reiki has played in my life. My experiences as a patient of Reiki led me to become a Reiki Master/Teacher.
Ten years ago I was diagnosed with a rare eye disease and was told to accept blindness as part of my life. After 6 years of being at the mercy of drugs and no relief in sight, I chose to seek an alternative method of treatment. Reiki was introduced to me in 2004 and I have been a believer & practitioner ever since. In 2007 I became a Reiki Master/Teacher enabling me to share this energy healing method with others.
Reiki is not a cure-all but it has helped me in combination with lifestyle changes to defeat blindness. I have to battle back control from time to time but with the right mindset, it is easy.
